 A few Dragons to mark the Chinese Year of the Wood Dragon

Ratnadakini, Sky Dancer of Earth and Jewels

 Next in the series of small circular paintings of the five wisdom dakinis. Ratnadakini is accompanied by Ratnasambhava's horses (they support his lotus throne) and dragons. For me dragons are wisdom beings akin to Nagas and also symbolise the freeing of the subtle energies of the body.

Vajradakini - blue sky dancer

 First of a new series of wisdom sky dancers - Vajradakini embodying the activity of mirror like wisdom and the essence of the adamantine thunderbolt of direct understanding. She is painted on a circular canvas alongside dragons, the wise nagas, and the sun and moon. She holds a vajrabell and a vajra staff.

Naga Princess

A wisdom deity linking the ocean depths with fiery heavens and airy space. A winged creature who is part naga, part  human and protected by snakes.
